Mask Mate is operated by Ian Richard Hamilton, a sole trader trading as Mask Mate in the United Kingdom. Contact: support@getmaskmate.com.

Important: Mask Mate creates visual masks for recordings and screenshots. A mask does not remove the underlying information from a webpage, its source, the DOM, accessibility tools, developer tools, network traffic, or the original service.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By installing or using Mask Mate, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the product. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and comply with the rules that apply where you live.

2. Permitted use

Mask Mate is intended for legitimate privacy protection, NDA-conscious demonstrations, training, UX testing, tutorials, screenshots, and screen-recording preparation. You are responsible for checking every mask before sharing or recording and for keeping original information secure.

3. Prohibited use

You must not use Mask Mate to commit fraud, forge or falsify records, impersonate another person, deceive a third party, infringe rights, bypass security, violate law or contract, or create misleading financial, legal, identity, medical, or government material.

4. Licenses and device limits

Paid functionality requires a valid licence. A direct Mask Mate Pro Lifetime licence permits up to 3 browser installations. Previously issued AppSumo licences retain the features and installation limits attached to their purchase tier. Other licences have the features and installation limits stated at purchase. A licence is personal or organisational as stated at purchase, non-transferable unless expressly allowed, and may be suspended or deactivated following a refund, chargeback, fraud, abuse, or material breach. “Lifetime” means the supported commercial life of the applicable Mask Mate product, not the lifetime of any individual, company, browser, or third-party marketplace.

5. Direct purchases and delivery

Direct Mask Mate purchases are processed by PayPal. The displayed price is $39 USD for Mask Mate Pro Lifetime unless a different price is clearly shown before payment. Licence delivery is currently handled personally and is normally completed by email within 24 hours after confirmed payment. You are responsible for providing and monitoring a working email address through PayPal. Contact support@getmaskmate.com with your PayPal transaction ID if the key has not arrived after 24 hours.

Refund and cancellation rights are provided where required by applicable consumer law. To request a refund, contact support with the purchase email and transaction ID. A refunded or charged-back licence may be deactivated. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

6. Third-party services

PayPal, browser stores, AppSumo when applicable, websites you edit visually, and hosting providers are independent services governed by their own terms. Mask Mate does not control their availability or policies.

7. Intellectual property

Mask Mate, its code, branding, design, and documentation remain the property of their respective owner. Your license grants only the limited right to use the software under these terms and does not transfer ownership.

8. Availability and changes

We may fix, change, discontinue, or restrict features to maintain security, comply with browser rules, or improve the product. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every webpage, or that every element—including cross-origin frames or closed shadow roots—can be masked.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mask Mate is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, failed masking, or misuse. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Termination

You may stop using the product at any time. We may suspend a license for material breach, unlawful use, or threats to users or the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.
